Medicaid expansion is a must for Virginia- it's as simple as that. I will push for, and wholeheartedly support Medicaid expansion in the Senate. Far too many of the kids I teach during the day and adults I teach at night suffer due to problems accessing health care. Sick kids and parents making just above minimum wage wouldn't carry such a heavy burden if we simply closed the coverage gap by expanding Medicaid. In addition, when I fought against Bob Marshall in 2013, I made it very clear that I will never back down on a woman's right to choose. That's a decision for women to make with their doctor, not for politicians to make in a committee. A healthy population means healthy schools and a healthy economy. To me, that seems like simple math.
